Joel C. Resendez

Mr. Resendez, a native of Corpus Christi, has been practicing law since 1985. He operated the Cigna Insurance Company's Corpus Christi Field Litigation office for five years before entering private practice with Douglas E. Chaves and a group of Corpus Christi attorneys. Since then, he and his other partners have launched a new law firm where he continues to concentrate his practice in the area of civil defense litigation. His defense of clients has allowed him to litigate cases throughout the State of Texas from Tyler to Houston and down to the Rio Grande Valley. He has authored instructional materials and presented seminars to nursing home staff and administrators in several states. He has also presented continuing education courses for Texas insurance adjusters. He has been a participating pro bono attorney in the Volunteer Lawyers Project since July 1992. Joel and his wife Linda are the proud parents of three very active youngsters Joel-Jose, Esteban and Pilar.
